3 more services being added to one-stop service at Hi-Tech Park

Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority is adding 3 more services to the One Stop Service (OSS) portal. These include (1) approval of machine layout design of factories / establishments by the Department of Factory and Establishment Inspection; (2) licensing of factories / establishments; And (3) license renewal / modification / extension services. A memorandum of understanding was signed on Monday between the Department of Factory and Establishment Inspection and Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority to expand the scope of services. Bikarna Kumar Ghosh, Managing Director (Additional Secretary) on behalf of the Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority and Nasir Uddin Ahmed, Inspector General (Additional Secretary) on behalf of the Department of Factory and Establishment Inspection signed the memorandum of understanding at the ICT Tower office in the capital. Speaking as the chief guest at the signing ceremony, NM Zeaul Alam, Senior Secretary, ICT Department, thanked the Department of Factory and Establishment Inspection and called upon the service providers / institutions to cooperate so that all services can be added to the One Stop Service Portal very quickly. He said that it will be possible to accelerate the development of Bangladesh in the Ease of Doing Business index. At this time, the managing director of the Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority Bikarna Kumar Ghosh said Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority is committed to ensure fast and best service to investors. According to the One Stop Service Act, 2018 and the One Stop Service (Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority) Rules, 2019, Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority is providing services through One Stop Service. A total of 148 services are being provided out of which 40 services are being provided online (https://ossbhtpa.gov.bd/) through the portal. Kalyan Kumar Sarkar, coordinator of One Stop Service, said that the Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority is working with various departments to provide more services through online one stop service. This will ensure transparency and accountability by providing services as well as create an investment-friendly environment for domestic and foreign investors. According to the OSS team of Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority, the one-stop service will be able to provide quality and effective services from high-tech parks set up in different parts of the country and investors will be able to easily access various services without any complications. All types of services provided online will be gradually brought under the online one-stop service system.
